For parents, nothing can feel more distressing than the idea of losing custody of their children. Our firm has experience litigating child custody and visitation disputes.

Legal Custody

Legal custody refers to the right of the parent to make decisions concerning their child’s health, education, and welfare. This includes where the child goes to school, what religion he/she practices, his/her extracurricular activities, and medical treatment. Where parents share joint legal custody, both parents have to work together to make those decisions. However, sometimes obtaining sole legal custody orders is necessary when parents are unable to work cooperatively. Our firm can help you obtain such orders.

Physical Custody

Physical custody refers to which parent or parents with whom the child lives with. Even where parents share joint physical custody, this does not necessarily mean that the timeshare is 50-50. Our firm can help you work out timeshare issues and get a schedule in place.
