What is the difference between a Contested Divorce and an Uncontested Divorce?

A contested divorce is where the parties cannot agree on some or all of the issues, such as characterization and division of assets and debts, parenting plan/custody arrangement, or amounts for child and spousal support payments. On the other hand, an uncontested divorce is where the parties agree and can settle on every issue.
